The philosophy of Byron Katie's work is so simple. Take responsibility for you. Your actions, reactions, emotions. It's a Buddhist lens as well. You are a projector, and you see a picture. But in that picture, there is a dust particle wiggling around. Something is wrong with the picture. As much as you try to change and fix the picture, the dust is still there doing it's thing. But the change is not with the picture, it's with the projector. The dust is originating from the projector and that is what you have to clean to clear the picture. Clean the projector - your lens! How we act or react to the picture is up to us. I don't buy into all of it one hundred percent, but I do find a majority of it to be very valuable! It can work out a lot of emotional "baggage" that creates stress and upset. Our side of the street always needs to be looked at. It takes courage to do that to create change!
